Why Super Bowl Ads Could Be Sad, Somber and Serious for Years to Come

Nope, can’t see the downbeat commercials becoming a trend. The Nationwide ad was bad enough, but the cell phone battery one was horrifying (maybe not as horrifying as Pete Carroll’s decision call a passing play at the end of the game, but close enough). On the other hand, the Snickers commercial was pretty funny (and Danny Trejo’s hair was appropriately Marcia Brady-like). Hmm…the Brady Bunch, Tom Brady — maybe Snickers knew something we didn’t!
